The magic have actually completely revitalized their fan base with simple moves that looked for the future. It also opened the floor to young bright talent who is very exciting and with these new roles, are showing they will absolutely work their dicks off. It’s a breathe of fresh air to see very competitive nature in guys and it pan out to leading to incredibly competitive games. The changing of the guard is so incredibly nice to see and I think the omen it brings to the future is something to be incredibly excited about. The magic have me so hooked on the future it isn’t funny.
The tears fogging everyone’s eyes
All people have done for the last two days is bitch. Cried, complained, moaned, and cried and they were bitching. Then you come to last night and the magic look completely alive. They are full of pace, they have life on both sides, playing very far up on D and just swarming guys with rotations. I never even thought the Magic looking like they were hustling as a team was even possible. Last night show cases that there are guys throughout the organization who can work their ass off. What I will not understand is we have a guy who can’t start because of his stomach bug, and then all the sudden we still give him all the burn. It’s such a crazy situation when you can see the man laboring and struggling walking to the free throw line from the tv. He’s going to be a great guy in some ways to have around, but it won’t necessarily be because of his play.
IM COMING OUT
It’s time to finally wake back up. Even the magic have traded away probably the least concerning of all the pieces needing to be dumped, atleast st this point, they show an ounce of trying to work to a future. Vucci couldn’t guard for shit, nor did he want to, and honestly if he wasn’t scoring at his most efficient clip, then the magic were almost already out of the game. He sure as hell couldn’t stop a faucet from running if he turned the knob, let along stop a professional big man from trying to score. He has no idea how to guard a pick and roll, he just hopes to god the guard makes a bad decision and doesn’t take advance of Vucci not hedging or doing anything. Like I said, there’s still a ways to go with things, but at this point at least it’s some what towards the right direction. It’s enough for me to start putting effort back into things again, as I no longer feel like the magic have just quit.
The owners can’t be watching
The magic are so shittly coached it is crazy. Not only do they live with the three ball as their first option, not only do they consistently not communicate on defense and look foolish because of easy buckets given up, not only do they have all these athletes who they force to slow down, but they have young talent with a chance to grow and they shit here and let it waste away. It makes me sick at this point when thinking about what is actually happening from the head coach that I just can’t believe I still find myself watching some of these games. If we are using injuries as our excuse now you can go fuck yourself, because we still have guys on the floor and these guys are making no improvements in the areas they are getting killed in. The magic cannot pick up rebounding assignments on deep balls, if a pick and roll is ran horizontally and stretched out, there is never communication from the big to the guard to tell him what he needs to do and it always leads to easy looks. It is truly just embarrassing if you are watching the magic to see how everynight they are making the same mistakes as the night before and it damn near feels like they are better at them than the night before. When you scout the magic you talk about two things, you hope they shoot the three off the dribble, and if for some reason they do hit a couple in a row, just force them to move the ball around a couple of times and they lose all rhythm.
This is depression no?
With the towel already firmly on the mat, it feels like a very smart decision to not commit to developing all of the young guys that are on the magic roster. Rather you use that development for trade value, or they turn into valuable pieces that move toward the future, it’s better to just waste them and let high cap hits go ahead and get a lot of usage for very boring games. Also we will let these guys just blatantly not play defense. Never learn how to communicate on defense with one and other and we will just go into every night looking at it like a shoot out and more often then not coming out on the short end of the stick. It’s incredible from a fan standpoint to see where the magic are commuting to going, because it’s literally absolutely nowhere. The amount of hope magic fans can truly have right now is none, I give no fucks about injuries at this point because there is no blatant look to develop a future at this point and it’s truly pathetic. I am not sure what Clifford is doing but at this point, it is blatantly ruining chances the magic for a future.
Take the positives when you can
The magic turning it around in the win column for two straight I see hasn’t changed the needle for people at all around Twitter . Where you get me is the magic played the game last night with almost a 20 point lead pretty much the whole way. Until closing time showed up, and almost every magic player just scattered as they didn’t want to be responsible for anything. Luckily still got the win, but at this point I hate watching an all offensive team. Really no one wants to play defense. We have a couple of guys who are comfortable making plays for others, but mostly every body is gunning. Truly no one wants to be someone who’s responsible for getting a stop, everyone just thinks they are good for one on the other end. The team chemistry with this team is disgusting. I have been crying about how they guard the pick and roll all year and will continue to do so because the shit with these players is just not going to get better. At this point I don’t even care about the injuries, I would just like to see the magic get better in the areas they need to improve in such as defense. At this point we seem to be inflating Vuccis value for us to do NOTHING with him again. Being a fan sucks and honestly it’s a shame how poorly most sports organizations are ran. Every one is just too scared to actually work the hand they are dealt, every just thinks they will figure it out on the river. It’s an absolute shame.
Counting every blessing
Terrence Ross is truly a gift from science. The man never gives up on a play on either side of the ball. He has the confidence of 11 men and the skills to back it up. He’s horribly managed as far as minutes go and this dude still just comes out and makes sure that no matter what the situation is he can find some life in the offense. Do I think the Magic need to win? I mean it doesn’t matter what you’re tanking for this year for sure is going to be very interesting to see make it to the league. The OK state kid is great and some over seas people look wild, but at this point it seems like a lot of development guys. But also I don’t watch college so me saying that means jack shit , just like with every other nba person but egos are too big to admit.
Fandumb
The amount of problems this team is currently experiencing is incredibly overwhelming at this point. There is almost no capacity for injuries, it feels as if player development is completely out the window, and people are jerking off more this year than ever simply because a guy is doing some scoring and nothing else on a team that’s getting dumped most nights. I just want the magic to be able to compete for a championship again, not be looking at having one tiny positive every couple of nights in the biggest shit pile in the league. At this point hope feels useless because no matter what, as long as the magic can sniff the 8 seed everyone who matters I guess is just happy. It’s a fucked mentality and honestly it’s messing with how I operate day to day.
2021… no better?
I have been bitching and moaning all season about how the magic have no idea how to guard as a team, and about how when we get put in pick and rolls, the bigs are always so damn lost in the action that the ball handler leaves us at his mercy. What’s incredible is the magic are now coming off of a 36 plate to go ahead and eat a 40. Now with all this being said, yes I do realize the magic are pretty thin and there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. In my mind this just speaks a lot to how consistently Clifford coaches the magic to do things, and just how much they aren’t working.
I guess sometimes you just deal with life
As the Magic continue to let Mo Bomba rot and we give shots to a guy who we would be alot better off getting his value out of a trade and taking it, I continue to sit here and wonder why I even care. The Magic have invested in two guys who can only be somewhat relevant on one end of the floor and at this point it’s just so hard to keep investing in time and time again. Vucci yes can score, but who gives a shit when everyone is constantly just scoring with you every night and every night is a dog fight. And a center who just wants to shoot threes honestly feels like another 2 guard at times. Having no anchor inside not only is pretty bad basketball at times (unless you’re the warriors) when the shooters aren’t the most consistent bunch. This magic team is never going to be someone who competes until June, and why people rally behind that fact I just will never comprehend.
