Blessed with takeaways

The magic have now watched the path be laid right in front of them. The magic have seen recipe be together by someone else and really it doesn’t seem that hard. If the magic can just find a superstar in the draft (even though they draft shitty), then get said superstar to fall in love with the city all while developing them properly (even though every player gets out of Orlando as fast as they can and they always turn into a more polished player elsewhere), and commit to a coach who they can trust and have everyone buy into (even though everyone has a short leash not making the playoffs is grounds for losing your head). Suddenly you will have a culture that will allow you to have some solid players who can have big roles want to commit to your city. As much as this was an incredibly wacky playoffs all together, at the end of the day someone like Weltman should be able to learn from this. Although someone like the Bucks as much as it gives you hope, will also completely tear you down for the fact they went over 40 years without winning it. That is a fate I do not need to see come to life with the magic.

Nothing but hope mixed with facts

Yes it is obviously great that the magic have two top 8 picks(gofuckyourselvesyoulosers), but if we are also being honest, the magic are absolutely horrible when it comes to drafting as of late. How they evaluate talent and especially who they feel will fit well in their system, have been absolute shit shows. Without getting the sure fire top pick I truly fear the absolute worst at this point. I mean sure it’s nice watch all our busts go be bad other places, but I think it will also be fun if maybe we drafted someone and they were just fucking good. Like get a JJJ, or a Bam, or a Halliburton. Like there’s so much to being serviceable in the nba and if the magic could get minute munchers who produce it would be fucking huge. Stars are obviously incredible, but everyone needs and has roles, and the magic could fill a lot of different ones. It just needs to be done properly and the track record of course isn’t one that is in the favor of the fan.

Dear, losers morons

I just need to get a message out to all the morons on the internet, which I know everyone, they are hard to find. But don’t you worry, through hard work and perseverance I was able to find some. The people who are bitching about the extra playoff basketball we as fans are getting for the cost of 10 extra regular season games are absolutely crazy. We just saw a man in Jokic play every game this season, which I would assume having 10 less games would help make that possible. These play in games too are also very fun, I don’t care the result, the idea guys have their shot to earn their keep in the post season when they may not have been there I think is very interesting. I love post season basketball, I love how different of a grind the games are. I am most interesting in being able to watch how the strategies move over time, there’s a lot more complex look into minds both in and off the court in the post season and it’s special as fans to be able to take advantage of it. So buzz off bozos who say these games suck, you kids are weird chins anyways.

Bow it up

The magic could not have possibly had a tougher end to their season. The team they went back to back on needed these games to get ready for the playoffs, the magic needed these games to have some confidence looking forward to the next seasonX and honestly CA went out and got him some. It was great for CA to go out on the horse the way he did, and it not only will give him confidence but gives people like me confidence. It’s going to be incredibly interesting to see where things go from here, where chips fall, but the world is at the hands of the magic. A lot of young pieces with nothing but time ahead. These guys care, they have work that needs done, but who doesn’t. At this point it will just be magic fashion to have little to no development get done. Honestly, I am not going to have that attitude, and I am just going to do nothing but believe. Believe believe believe.

Off day clarification

With everything Clifford is trying to do at least as of recent, he does seem to be working his ass off to change who he is a coach. Which Clifford himself isn’t a horrible coach with the right people, he’s not much of a developer for the future but he can do something’s well. I think Clifford probably has a spot in the league somewhere, I just don’t find his style to be most conducive to what the magic need. The man loves high intensity and pace, and lives to make sure he can get guys down the floor faster than others. Not saying it isn’t strategy, Clifford just doesn’t seem to really know how to be the coming up with the elaborate schemes, he just seems to be the one who can sometimes manage to find some ways to beat them. The magic right now, need the schemes, they need to help their own guys be successful, and they need to be able to develop, these are just things Clifford will fail to do, and it will hurt the chances of the development over time.

Thank you sir may I have another

The magic just had to eat one last night. Damn, they caught a team last night who is really gearing up to look to make some noise in the post season, and I’ll be damned if they don’t look very tough. Very up on defense and just making shit so frustrating for teams. The magic needed to see what these look like, and needed to see the intensity, as this is what the league gets to be. We are blessed to say that last night atleast the third teamers worked a lot harder than theirs. Last night was just one that doesn’t allow for you to start off on a hot Friday night.

Love to give credit where it’s due

Not to make this all about me, but recently I have been disgusted with how things have looked on the floor for the magic. Very cluttered, very hung ho with such little purpose. Obviously defensively problems out the ass as well. Besides the point, last night looked like a completely different animal. On one end of the floor I should say, the magic still had their struggles on defensive rotations to the arch. Nevertheless on offense, the magic were working sets. Coast to coast, with consistent movement and looking to find guys in spots where they can attack or create with some success. I will commend Clifford on that, possessions on offense seemed purposeful. There’s so much growth in purpose and these are the steps in the right directions that are needed.

Last night makes you not want to think

The Celtics came out on a damn mission last night huh? The magic are obviously going to have these nights every once in a while, but to have it to the team that took over one of our bad contracts, just hurts the soul honestly. This is truly how development works though, what’s not great is when you aren’t actually developing anything from a team standpoint. Which, I’m going to do something groundbreakingly new in my world, and criticize Clifford. I think maybe he isn’t the coach for the players that we need. As this guy gives green lights to everyone and believes that no matter what your skill lever, you should look to run with any and everyone. There may be room for improvement when it comes to that.

How the chips stack

The magic are doing some incredible things over these last couple of games. Showing a lot of things, most importantly has been the heart. Everyone who’s checking in seems so locked in at this point, even defensively, and that says a lot because they are still getting their ass busted by teams defensively. All that being said though, there is so much growth and development happening within these young guys that it’s truly magical. A lot of confidence is being instilled in these guys and it’s through the fire, which is invaluable when it comes to player development. I am very hopeful for the future assuming a couple of things fall the right way at this point. It’s truly rare that teams have the chance to be in the drivers seat, I would say the magic very much have their feet on the pedal.

Same old song and dance honestly

After a hard fought weekend, a lot of things really showed their head that gave me hope. The magic are hard nosed, the magic have a lot of heart and they have a lot of care. Now does it really only show its head a whole lot on offense? Yes, but I think that has a lot to do with the top working it’s self down, but that’s besides the point. The magic have a lot of good brains on the roster right now if we are being truthful, a lot of guys who can adapt well offensively as the night goes in order to stay effective. What’s amazing is the magic are still very much young, and still very much incredibly full of injuries and it’s something I don’t give them enough credit for. The magic will be fine, once they get rid of their black hole coach.
